We have captured it and its currently running free in the conservatory with a box with soft bedding in for it to sleep. It looks young, quite healthy and is very friendly. I have had the female recently spayed she's roughly 10 or so months old. I kept her seperated from the male who is over two years old for a good two weeks, in that time I had him neutered. I'm lookig to do fund raising event for a local school boy who is battling a rare form of cancer.
I've attended a ferret racing event in the past and having been lookig on the internet for someone who provides this in the northwest of England but am not having much luck.

It looks like a silver possibly a hob. It is somewhat emaciated. Last week Friday my male ferret (+-1yr old) had escaped from his cage and I found him about 50 metres from his cage lying prostrate. He was very weak. I rushed him to the vet (who is unfortunately not a ferret specialist) and he was immediately put on a drip and checked over. Xrays showed nothing broken and no internal injuries. He was semi-unconscious. The vet couldn't at first find any marks on him at all. Only two ... I was wondering if anyone knew where I may adopt/buy a young spayed or neutered young ferret?

I have a 1 year old ferret called Oscar and I am looking for a playmate for him.


Tried contacting local rescues, left messages etc but no luck.


If anyone can help, it would be very much appreciated.

For some reason in the last two weeks two of them have become extremely agressive towards one of them. They attack her at every given opportunity whilst in the cage and when out of it. Very good , friendly have time to talk, if they unsure they will always talk to the most senior vet on duty. Nursing staff are more like friends than nurses. bit expensive but for the service well worth it.
