Hair loss

Hi all, I have just got 2 young (5 month old) gills as pets after not having ferrets for a long time they are fed on specialist ferret dry food with treats once a week, and both are extremely playful and eat well, but one is only around half the size of the other and the small one seems to be losing hair off her front left leg, no where else just that leg, it doesnt appear to be bothering her is this likely to just be moulting or a skin complaint or something more sinister? any advice welcomed and yes if it hasnt cleared up in the next week she is going to the vets.

I`ve heard of losing hair off from tails due to hormonal reasons but never from a limb. Sounds like you have a happy little bunch so good luck in finding out what it is. Let us know if that`s possible please.
