Burnley isn`t really an area i know but if you have a car there is an excellent ferret vet at the vets inside pets at home at Oldham, his name is Patrick Thomas and used to be the vet round here for the old C&D ferret rescue before he moved so has seen plenty of ferrets and has seen most things, you may have to actually ask for an appointment with him to avoid getting a different vet, he`s lovely and has a great way with the ferrets Very Happy
